This design was inspired after a visit to Dumfries and Galloway's famous Sweetheart Abbey and the fact that its conception was a shrine of human and divine love was deeply appealing. The Abbey of Sweetheart was founded in 1273 by Lady Devorgilla of Galloway in memory of her late husband John Balliol.
