Oban

Oban is often known as the Gateway to the Islands, as the Caledonian MacBrayne Ferries operate from there. If your onward travel is to Mull, Iona, Islay, Colonsay, Tiree, Barra, South Uist etc. then you would get the ferry from Oban.

From a motorcycling perspective the journey to Oban from any direction is heaven, with excellent and challenging roads, with a trip to Glencoe a must.

I will let the photo's do the talking.
